HC complex to have PHC, recreation Park: Sham | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 26 : The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Complex Jammu would soon have a well equipped Primary Health Centre to cater to the health care requirements of judicial staff Lawyers and visitors. Besides a proposal for developing a recreational park in the court premises is also in the pipeline. The Minister for Health, Floriculture and Horticulture Sham Lal Sharma said that the government has earmarked Rs 1 crore for the PHC and Rs 28 lakh for the recreation park adding that the work on the twin projects would be started by next month. The Minister was speaking at a function organised by the Bar Association Jammu (BAJ). The Minister said that the healthcare service at the High Court Complex was being badly felt and the government took the decision to make the same available within shortest period of time. He said that the PHC would have two posts of doctors, dental surgeon besides adequate paramedical staff with the facilities of X- Ray, ECG, Laboratory etc. About the development of Recreation Park, the Minister said that the Floriculture department has been asked to take up the work at the earliest. He said the proposed recreation park would have a well laid landscape and attractive flower beds where the visitors and Lawyers could have a better time out of their hectic schedule. Among others, District Principal & Session Judge Jang Bhadur, President Bar Association Jammu B. N. Salathia, Additional Advocate General Gagan Basotra, General Secretary Bar Association Jammu Vikram Sharma, Director Health Services Dr. Madhu Khullar, Director Floriculture K. K. Sharma, senior and junior advocates were present on the occasion. |
