| BJP-HR Cell felicitates six meritorious special children | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 26: Human Rights (HR) cell of BJP J&K today organized a function at Home for Handicapped, Udheywala to felicitate six meritorious students of the Home who despite their physical disabilities excelled in their exams.
Co-convener Dr Tahir Chowdhary, J&K, Vinay Pandoh, Coconvener (Jammu-West) along with Kushal Sharma Co-convener Jammu district presented awards to the handicapped inmates namely Shabnam Bano, Gudia, Jeet Raj, Paras, Khannu Devi and Bhawana Devi for their outstanding performance in their academics. Pertinent to mention here that Shabnam Bano secured 80.5% marks in 10+2 examination of JKBOSE.
Besides felicitating the inmates who excelled in their academics, the BJP Human Rights Cell donated ten ceiling fans for the new dormitory for the Handicapped inmates of the Home. They also distributed sweets and fruits amongst the children. Among those present on the occasion included P C Kapoor, President of JRC, Dr R L Sharma, Vice President, J Chhatrapal, Secretary and Satish Sharma Joint Secretary of the Home. |
