| Training program for Sarpanches, Panches held | | | Salil Raina
Poonch, May 26. Panches and Sarpanches of Loran, which is 37 km far away from District headquarter Poonch, were provided four days training course by Rural Development Department to help them understand their duties and responsibilities to strengthen democracy at Grass root level.
They expressed satisfaction over the information provided to them by the Department. During the four days training, they were informed about various Panchayats laws in addition to conduct of business, powers of panchayats, rules and regulations of panchayats, information about centre and state sponsored schemes. All the sarpanches and panches thanked Inspector Ajeet Singh Jeet for his co-operation in equipping them with latest information on Panchayti Raj Act. While talking to Early Times, Inspector RDD said, that in all the District of states, the Rural Development Department has taken an initiative to train the Sarpanches and Panches about governance at grass root levels. This was the fifth batch In Mandi block who were provided training by the department. |
