| Rasoo residents hold protest against casteism | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, May 26: To counter the wave of casteism, a massive protest demonstration was held by the people of village Rasoo, Panchayat Hatli in the premises of the DC office at Kathua. On the occasion, the people of the village Rasoo comprising all castes including women, youth and large number of other people strongly condemned the discrimination on the basis of casteism, by raising the slogan casteism Hai Hai, Bhai Chara Zindabad.
While speaking on the occasion, the Naib Sarpanch Sudesh Kumari Panchayat Hatli, social activist Parshotam Singh, Roop Lal, Panjab Singh, Nek Ram, Ramesh Singh, Dalip Singh, Karan Singh, and others said that today's world is changing speedily and scrapping the old and irrational unjustified cast parameters of the caste.
They said our village Rasoo has a long history of unity and integrity among all casts but now some greedy and corrupt politicians are playing a divisive politics to gain the vote and this anti social game would not be successful in the area because the unity and brotherhood among all castes will give major defeat to such elements. |
