| ABVP protests against steep hike in College fee | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 27: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today held a strong demonstration against the steep hike in fee structures of colleges.
The protest was held under the leadership of Jammu City Secretary, Arun Prabhat Singh.
A large number of ABVP activists gathered at Main Chowk, Parade raised slogans against the State Government and Higher Education Minister and burnt the effigy. Lambasting the Government, Arun Prabhat Singh said the steep hike in fee structure will not be tolerated by the student community as the students and their families are already facing the challenges of inflation. ABVP demanded the roll back of hike in fee structure with immediate effect and if they failed to do so, the Parishad would launch an agitation throughout the state.
Others who were present on the occasion include Balbir Singh, Ranbir Singh, Rohit Manhas, Kailash, Yash, Neeraj, Pankaj, Rohan Bhandari, Manik, Ashish and others. |
