KPC flays Interlocutors' report, rejects re-commendations | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 27: Reacting sharply over the J&K interlocutors report recommending review and repeal of all central laws from the state of J&K brought in force since 1952 under Presidential orders and strengthening of article 370 in the state, KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri said that instead of further strengthening the writ of Indian constitution over J&K state these interlocutors' recommendations to review and repeal the Indian laws from the state, is ill-conceived and ill-advised. He said repeal of Indian laws from the state itself means death trap for nationalist forces residing in the state and such move is never in the broader interest of the country and also would take Kashmir away from Indian nation. KPC chief further stated that strengthening and finessing the article 370 in state is against the assurance and promise made by first prime minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to nation in 1963 that article 370 would in due course of time be abrogated from the J&K state. He further criticized and condemned J&K Interlocutors for not effectively recommending purposeful rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits at separate portion of land in the valley which would allow them to live together as nationalist community under free flow of Indian constitution. He said that all nationalist forces particularly Kashmiri Pandits are rejecting these recommendations of J&K interlocutors and support only those proposals and recommendations which strengthen the relations of J&K state with India. Kundan demand that article 370 to be abrogated at the earliest, there should not be any review or repeal of Indian laws from the state as Indian nationalists and security forces have given lot of sacrifices for containing J&K state as integral part of India. |
