| IMPA holds training prog for PIOs, APIOs | | | JAMMU, May 28: A 3-days training programme on Right to Information for women participants was inaugurated in J&K IMPA & RD today. The programme is being sponsored by Department of Personnel and Training, GOI. Progra mme attended by 30 women participants from School Education and Social Welfare Department. The objective of the progra mme is to sensitize participants about different sections of the Act, Duties and Responsibilities of PIOs, APIOs and other officers of government departments. During the programme the participants will interact with bureaucrats, management and legal experts and members from civil society.
In her interaction Joint Director IMPA, Ms Sunita Anand highlighted IMPA activities in sensitization of officers. She said that till date IMPA has organized 40 programmes and has trained 1312 PIOs and APIOs and concerned officers on RTI both at Jammu and Srinagar. Such programmes will contribute in a major way in bringing transparency, accountability and efficiency in Public Service Delivery in the state. |
