| ‘JKTDC join hands with IRCTC to promote tourism’ | | | JAMMU, January 30
The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) has dovetailed with Indian Railway catering and tourism corporation (IRCTC) and some private Airlines for launching of package tours as well as providing accommodation to promote tourism in the state. As a result, the travel division of JKTDC has already got advance bookings for Kashmir for the coming summer and prominent travel companies like Kesari Travels, Raj Travels, Naw Bharat Travels have already deposited advance money.
This was revealed in a press release issued by J&K deppartment of Information and Public Relations, here today.
The relese added that the minister for tourism Dilawar Mir has called for launching a comprehensive and vigorous campaign through print and electronic media to show-case varied tourist potential of the state in overseas as well as in the country. He also sought cooperation of the media to present improving situation in the state in positive perspective adding that sporadic incidents of violence occur in other parts of the country and world across. He said that state is known as paradise on the earth has unbound scenic beauty which needs to be marketed optimally for the benefit of the state in a big way. He also urged for exploiting hither to unknown tourist places.
