Outright win for MGCA in U-14 cricket | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 28: Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) registered an outright 220 runs win over Haven Kingdom High School in the ongoing knock-out under-14 cricket tournament, organised by Jammu wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at GGM Hostel Ground, here today. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, MGCA set a challenging target of 276 runs for the loss of two wickets in given 30 overs. Sarthak played superb innings of 50-ball 76 runs studded with 11 boundaries. Surya Singh and V Sharma remained unbeaten with 57 and 48 runs in their respective accounts. From Haven Kingdom, Abhishek and Sagar took one wicket each. In reply, the raw side of Haven Kingdom could not survive the bowling attack of trained seamers of MGCA and bowled out cheaply for 56 runs in 10 overs. No batsman could touch the double figure mark. Only Neeraj could put in some resistance and faced 21 deliveries to make maximum eight runs. Aditya was most successful bowler from MGCA with three for 17 in four overs while Praveen and Chitra shared two each. Paras Sharma and Sandeep Singh were umpires in today's match while Ranjeesh maintained the score. |
