DODA, May 28: Sonipat Cricket Club (SCC) and Combine Cricket Club Bhadarwah (CCCB) defeated Khan Cricket club Delhi (KCCD) and MKR College Delhi (MKRCD) in their respective matches to consolidate their positions in the ongoing All India 8th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship at Sports Stadium, here.
In the first match, Sonipat Club defeated Khan Club by 16 runs. Earlier, Sonipat Cricket Club, after winning the toss and batting first, set a target of only 99 runs losing all their wickets in 17 overs. Rahul was highest scorer with 30 runs while Parvaz contributed 22 runs. From Khan Cricket ClubDelhi (KCCD), Shubnam and Imran took four and two wickets respectively.
In reply, Khan Cricket club Delhi could not chase the target and lost all their wickets for 83 run in 16.4 overs. Imran (40) and Gouran (11) were top scorers. From Sonipat Cricket Club, Rahul and Muzamil shared three wickets each.
Later, Rahul of Sonipat Cricket Club was declared man of the match. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Combine Cricket Club Bhadarwah defeated MKR College Delhi by 76 runs. Batting first, after winning the toss, Combine Bhaderwah made 159 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 17 overs. Sameer Malik and Zahir scored 45 and 46 runs respectively. From MKR College Delhi, Jarun and Ved Parkash took three and two wickets respectively. Batting second, MKR College bowled out for 83 runs in 15.3 overs. Kishan scored 28 and Sandeep 10 runs respectively. From Combine Cricket Club Bhadarwah, Anjeel and Khalid bagged four and two wickets respectively.
Later Anjeel of Combine Cricket Club Bhadarwah was adjudged man of the match. He was presented the trophy by special guest, Ikhlaq Hussan, president District Football Association Doda. |
