Jammu, May 28: The Municipal Employees Federation called on DyChief Minister at his official residence under the leadership of various Union Leaders of JMC and submitted a charter of demands which included long pending demands such as Settlement the appointment case of SRO-43 and appoint next dependent of the deceased employee on compassionate grounds so that the family of the deceased may not suffer any financial hardships in these crucial days of price hiking.
A fresh D.P.C (Departmental Promotion Committee) meeting of all cadres may be conducted at the earliest. Release of 2 ½ Day Salary of employees of JMC. Engagement of 400 more Safaikaramcharis on pattern of SMC. Regularization of all contractual Drivers. Regularization of contractual computer operators. Appointment of 50 new drivers with all documents. Release of arrears of employees who were regularized in the year 2005, 2008 and 2010.
Dy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing and directed Commissioner, JMC to take up the matters of Municipal Employees Federation on priority basis as early as possible and other issues which are to be under taken with him so that their problems could be mitigated.
