BJP team arrives in Kishtwar today | To discuss interlocutors' report | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, May 28:- Five days after the release of interlocutors' report, the BJP intends to sent a five member team to Kishtwar and Doda tomorrow to apprise the people of their apprehensions. The 5 member BJP committee comprises of 5 BJP MPs is expected to reach Kishtwar on Tuesday morning after night stay at Batote. The delegation will leave for Doda in the evening. According to senior party leaders at Kishtwar, the aim and objective of the tour is to listen to the problems faced by the people so that the same could be raised in upcoming Parliament session scheduled to be held in the month of August. They said that beside taking first hand appraisal of the problems and demands of the area, the 5 member BJP study group will hold a detail discussion over recently released interlocutor report on Jammu Kashmir. Ahead of the scheduled meeting, the BJP leaders in Kishtwar sent invitation to several people including MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, MLA Inderwal Ghulam Moha-mmad Saroori, NGO's, Social Organization, senior citizens, Immam Jamia Masjid, separatist leaders and also to student leaders. BJP State Secretary Sunil Sharma while confirming the invitation sent to separatist leaders in Kishtwar said that the party is willing to talk with any separatist leaders who are keen to work for restoration of peace in Jammu Kashmir. "It is a big opportunity for the people to put forward their genuine demands regarding development of Kishtwar District", Sharma said. He said that recently released 3 member interlocutor report on Jammu Kashmir is a matter of discussion. He said that though the party has rejected the interlocutor report in its Mumbai executive body, it has evoked a serious debate. BJP has decided to hold a serious of discussion over it, he said. He said the party has chosen Kishtwar and Doda District since both the District have equal ratio from both the communities. He expressed hope that people will participate in the program. He said that senior party leaders like Mr. Rajnath Singh, Syed Shahnawaz Hussain and others are expected to tour different parts of the state to make consensus over the issue raised by the BJP. The party so far disclosed the name of only two touring MPs Vassu Rao Patil and Avnish Rai Khanna. |
