| Mir condemns YNC for anti-Azad utterances | | |

POONCH, May 28: Expressing his deep concern over the baseless charges made on the Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad by provincial Youth National Conference (YNC) president Saeed Mubashir Zargar, the Congress MLC Jehangir Mir while condemning it asked YNC to refrain from such untrue statements in future.
In a formal chat with local media persons, Mir said that he want to convey it to National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah so that he himself may take notice of it. He said that it was during Azad's tenure that Bhaderwah got University Campus, enjoyed Sarthal Highway facility, Kishtwar attained district status, both twin districts could found appropriate place on tourism map and particularly Bhalesa got new identity.
He said that the execution of developmental activities in the districts is the prime responsibility of the elected representatives and public with the consultation of respective ministry of the state and not the Union Ministry.
The union ministries provide the funds of developmental programmes to state governments and it is for the state governments to execute these programmes in the concerned districts on need basis, he said. |
