Harsh Dev lambasts coalition for failure in all spheres

Jammu, May 28: Harsh Dev Singh NPP MLA and its working chairman today lampooned the State govt. for its loud pronouncements, tall claims, airy slogans and exaggerated dissonance without showing any corresponding tangible output on the ground. He said that the govt. is indulging in
hypocritical self praise and self adulation without delivering anything practically. He was addressing a huge public gathering of HiraNagar organized by District Kathua unit of NPP.
Harsh Dev Singh said that the centrally sponsored schemes announced by Gal had not been properly implemented in the state thus depriving the people of the benefits envisaged under the said schemes. He made a particular mention of PMGSY, RMSA, NHRM, SSA, UIDSSMT, HSDP, PYKKA, NRDWP, AIBP and said that the state had been declared a tail ender in the implementation of majority of them. He further alleged large scale irregularities, omissions and commissions in the implementation of such schemes and said that even the CAG . and confirmed the fact. He sought a GOI probe into the working of all centrally sponsored schemes in the state.
Harsh Dev Singh further castigated the state govt. for its persistent neglect and deprivation of Jammu region in the matter of allocation of funds, employment, tourism promotion, power, Health and other sectors.
Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA and State President flayed the govt. for neglect of Hiranagar
tehsil in particular and District Kathua in general. He called for settlement of the issues of
inhabitants of border areas, SPOs and Home Guards. He demanded the grant of tehsil status to Ghagwal.
Yash Paul Kundal MLA Samba, while speaking on the occasion flayed the recent hike in petrol
prices and urged upon the people to wage a decisive battle against the state and central govt.
On the occasion around 40 activists of different political parties quit their respective
organization, joined NPP and vowed to strengthen it in the ultimate interests of Jammu region.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Rajinder Singh Manju, Ram Saran Dogra, Shiv Charan Singh, Ravinder Pathaia, Vikas Sambyal, Ashok Kumar and J.l Verma.
