5/29/2012 12:17:51 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, May 28: Student organizations condemned police action on students who were protesting demanding to conduct a recruitment rally in JK police at Kathua. A massive protest was held under the banner of Student Movement against the Member of Parliament, MLAs of district Kathua and Police department for not taking up unemployed youths' cause and yet have failed to get a recruitment rally as conducted in others parts of state. The leaders of the Movement Amrish Singh Jasrotia, Abhishek, Pankaj, Rajesh Sumit, and others alleged that the local MLAs and the Udhampur Kathua Doda MP have failed to serve the interests of the unemployed youth who have been demanding recruitment rally in Kathua for long. They alleged that when the resented youth lodged their protest by blocking the college road the Kathua Police led by Dy SP Daljeet Singh foiled their bid forcibly. The Student Movement urged the state Govt to conduct a probe of police action.
