| Army jawan injured in IED explosion | | | Srinagar, Jan, 30
At least one Army Jawan was injured when unidentified persons believed to be militants triggered an Improvised Explosive Device in Tral area of Pulwama district.
Police sources told News Agency of Kashmir that unidentified militants triggered off an IED at Hayeena crossing in Tral, injuring one Army Jawan. The injured Jawan identified as C. Wangpan of 42-RR has been hospitalized in a critical condition.
Meanwhile a major tragedy was averted after police detected and destroyed a live grenade in Bijbehara.
Police sources said that a major tragedy was averted in Bijbehara, when a joint patrolling party of 155 Bn CRPF and Bijbehara Police, detected one live grenade near Padshahibagh Bijbehara. The Grenade was later safely destroyed by Bomb Disposal Squad of Anantnag Police
