| Callousness of PDD leads to electrocution of youth, alleges PDP | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 30: Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the alleged callousness of the Power Development Department which led to the electrocution of a young person Som Raj son of Om Prakash on his roof top due to the low hanging high tension wires of the PDD. Som Raj was rushed to hospital today afternoon when he accidentally came in contact with the High Tension wires which had sagged very low near his house.
Senior leaders of PDP including Capt. Anil Gour, Rashpal Singh Billowria, Daljeet Singh Dicky, Krishan and Kashmiro along with Jagdish Khokar, president Valmiki Colony, Gandhi Nagar demanded that the High Tension circuit running through the residential colonies should be shifted and in case there is lack of space then Underground cable should be used as is done in the other countries to prevent such occurrence of accidents.
The leaders also demanded adequate compensation for the injured so that he could avail best medical treatment. |
