| POWERGRID commissions 765 kV transmission line | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 30 :POWERGRID in the Northern region-II today commissioned its 273 kms long 765 kV Moga- Bhiwani, Single Circuit transmission line alongwith associated bays. Meantime it also synchronized with Northern Grid at 2110 hrs here on other day. According to the official spokesperson the work on the said line was completed at a cost of around Rs.800 Core including the ICT , Reactor and associated bays at Moga & Bhiwani substations. "With commissioning of this project, the Northern Region-II has added 2500 MVA transformation capacity in one go which is approximately 18% of its already installed capacity, official said further maintaining that the project is achieved through an intense and well focused drive and initative of Engineers of POWERGRID. "This link would be catalyst in the economic development of the Region, he added. |
