BJYM holds cycle rickshaw rally in protest against rising prices | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 30 : In protest against the general price rise and record breaking increase in petrol prices by the Union Government, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today took out a unique cycle rickshaws rally from Jewel Chowk to Patta Bohri Chowk. Led by BJYM State President Munish Sharma, the rallyists raised slogans against the UPA government for price rise and for its incompetence and total lack of compassion and feeling for the common man. Addressing the rally, Munish Sharma said that public is totally fed up with the Congress led UPA government and yearn for its removal from power. The common man is not able to make his two ends meet and this unprecedented increasing petrol prices has made his day to day existence virtually impossible. Coming down heavily on the state government for its total lack of concern for the suffering of the common man by indulging in scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and dry taps, Sharma said that BJYM will not rest till the hardship of the common man is not ameliorated. Accusing both NC and the Congress for its lack of public concern he said that both are two faces of the same coin and time has come when the public must realise as to with which party its welfare and well being lies. He appealed the public to fully support and participate in tomorrow's Bharat Bandh and make it successful so that a strong message goes to the Congress-NC and their allies that they cannot take public for granted and must undo their callous and heartless acts of price increase in various commodities. |
