| Illegal construction on Nazool Land | | HC dismisses petition, vacates interim direction | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 30: Justice JP Singh in a significant judgment upheld the action of District Magistrate Kathua whereby directions had been issued to Executive Officer Municipal Committee Kathua to demolish the illegal structure raised by one Druv Singh on the Nazool Land. The Court after hearing Advocate Vikas Mangotra appearing for the petitioner whereas AAG AH Qazi, SK Shukla and RS Pathania Advocates appearing for the respondents dismissed the petition with the observations that the alternative remedy of Appeal(s) before the higher Revenue Forums being available to the petitioners to question the Demarcation Committee's Report, no interference with the order passed by the District Magistrate, Kathua may, therefore, be warranted in the circumstances. Court further lifted the interim order earlier granted on December 9, 2011. |
