Khoda departs leaving Jammu's youth in discontentment | Discrimination alleged in special recruitment drive | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 30: A day before relinquishing office as the director general of police, Kuldeep Khoda has been accused of neglecting unemployed youth of Jammu region while conducting recruitment in the state police. The youth of the region have alleged that the outgoing police chief who personally supervised the recruitment drives across the state neglected the youth of Jammu region as the drive was conducted in very few blocks of the region while the recruitment rallies in Kashmir division were conducted extensively and exhaustively giving more opportunities to the youth of the valley. The students wing of the JKNPP at a press conference held at the university of Jammu, rued the alleged discriminatory attitude of the state police. "DGP in a special drive recruited youths from all over the State but neglected the Jammu region in which he has launched the drive only in few blocks" said Thakur Varinder Singh, president of the NPSU university wing adding that those who were selected from Jammu region had political affiliation with the ruling coalition. Thakur also lambasted the elected representatives of Jammu who did not raise their voice against the discrimination with the youth of Jammu and maintained criminal silence to pursue their individual interests. "The matter has been brought in the notice of MLAs of the region, but none of them has stood for the cause of the youth" he regretted.
