Kishtwar, May 30: The luxurious vehicle seized by Kishtwar police late last night from Om Mehta road Kishtwar is said to be owned by missing Pakistani origin Bollywood actress Laila Khan who went missing along with her family members since last one and half year after she traveled to Kashmir in January 2011 along with her four family members and Kashmir based friend identified as Ateeq Ahmed.
As per the incharge Regional Transport Officer Office Dadar Mumbai Vayandghar, vehicle No: MH02BY-7867 with chasis No: MA701CW5WA000 0676 is registered on the name of Reshma N Patil, which is the original name of actress Laila Khan.
According to reports Laila went missing from her Sun Shine apartment Ohshiwara Mumbai in Jan 2011 and has been untraceable since then. Her Scorpio car was found abandoned near Dal Lake in Srinagar on December 14, 2011. She came into lime light after she found a role in Bollywood Movie "Waffa" released in the year 2008 featuring actor Rajesh Khanna. She was also known for her hot modeling image among the Bollywood circle.
After she went missing, the Mumbai police transferred the case of her disappearance along with her family to Anti Terrorist Squad. The Anti Terrorist squad on February, 27 this year claimed that the actress was traced in Dubai. According to officials of ATS team, Laila Khan is presently living in Dubai with her mother, four siblings and another person called 'Ateeq' who has married Khan's mother.

As per ATS claims, the story behind her vanishing act is equally interesting. The ATS team says that Khan allegedly owed money to a friend and fled the country when payment of this money became a headache for her. Khan's father Nadir Shah had lodged an FIR with Oshiwara Police station complaining he had not been able to contact his family since January last year. Ateeq, the new husband of Laila Khan's mother, is supposed to be using a fake name and both Jammu Police and Oshiwara Police are trying to ascertain his true identity.

Earlier, actress and model Laila Khan who is missing from past one and half year is doubted to be a Pakistani spy. Mumbai police has searched her home and recovered a satellite phone from her house. ATS since then is looking for the suspect Kashmiri youth who was staying at home of Laila. ATS during his raid at Ohshiwara residence of the actress recovered 100 photographs but suspect Ateeq has not been featured in those photographs. The father of the actress in his complaint alleged that his daughter and family may have been killed by miscreants eyeing their property in Mumbai.

He further said that he informed the police on the same adding that he told about three people he was dubious in the disappearance of his family that included his wife, daughter and son. He said that the police failed to act on the same. He also blamed the society's secretary to be a part of the conspiracy.
Meanwhile, Kishtwar police informed Maharashtra police about the recovery of Laila Khan's vehicle from Kishtwar. When contacted SSP Kishtwar, Bhim Sen Tutti informed that Kishtwar police brought the mater into the notice of Maharashtra police, and a team has been deputed to Kishtwar for further investigation. "It is not the right time to divulge more details pertaining to the investigation of the case as it can hamper the investigation", said the SSP.

As per the reports, it was 34 year old Parvaiz Iqbal Tak son of Amin Din Tak resident of Bhunzwah Kishtwar, a former NCP leader who unsuccessfully contested election from Inderwal Constituency of Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2008. Pervaiz was wanted in many fraud cases in Kishtwar district and a Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Hoshiarpur (Punjab) has already issued warrant under section 512 IPC against him in November last year. Parvaiz was though absconding, but was lastly sighted in Kishtwar in the month of March this year. He in the year 2009 enacted a drama in which he claimed that LeT militants attack him, but was later proved as false. He is said to have close relationships with various LeT militants operating in Bhunzwah area of Kishtwar district few years back. Though Kishtwar police attempted to open the locks of the vehicle with the help of an employee working at local Maruti garage namely Mintoo Garage at Kishtwar, but due to high profile set up of the vehicle, police failed to open its lock.
Keeping in view of the alleged link of actress Laila Khan with Pakistani spy agency ISI after recovery of a satellite phone from her Mumbai residence, security agencies in Jammu and Kashmir cannot rule out the possibility of using the recovered vehicle in any militancy related incident across the nation including Mumbai. Police in Jammu and Kashmir is keeping close liaison with Maharashtra police. SSP Kishtwar Bhim Sen Tutti along with ASP Kishtwar Kulbir Singh and DySP HQ Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary were personally investigating the matter under the supervision of IGP Jammu Dilbag Singh and DIG Doda-Kishtwar range Gareeb Das.
