| 'Book Fair and Summer Camp' organized at DPS Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu May 31: 18th Book Fair and 14th Summer Camp were organized at Delhi Public School Jammu from May 30-June 2. A large number of students participated in the activity enthusiastically. S S Sodhi, Director, Delhi Public School Jammu, Katra, Leh & Udhampur inaugurated book fair which was organized in association with Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd. to promote reading habits amongst the students. Speaking on the occasion Sodhi mentioned, "Reading has become a lost art due to constant use of electronic gadgets and it needs to be inculcated once more in the children". He felicitated the school on its initiative at organizing the gala book fair in association with internationally reputed scholastic India Pvt. Ltd. Delhi Public School Jammu also organized 14th Summer Camp 2012 with an aim to make children to get rid of academic stress for sometime and relax, recreate, rejuvenate and explore their talent and sharpen their skills further. Students will imparted various skills during the summer vacations like Creative art and craft, Dance- c1assical & western, Music- vocal and Instrumental, Yoga, Skating, Swimming, Cricket, Football, Table-Tennis, Lawn Tennis and Pistol and Rifle Shooting.
Principal Sudarshan Sonar extended his best wishes for the successful conduct of the said activities and informed that the activity will be extended keeping in view the enthusiasm and interest of the students. |
