| Kalra College holds Prize distribution function | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, June 1: Valedictory function of NSS was celebrated by the Kalra College of Education ,Kud in its premises here on Thursday in which position holder of state level essay writing competition were honored with Shield and Certificate with the objectives to promote creative thinking in the students of higher education of state.
The chief guest of the event, Prof.Dr.Nootan ,Principal Government P.G. college Udhampur, Guest of honor, Janab S.P.Kalra Chairman Kalras Educational Society, Udhampur and Chairman of the college Janab Upkar Kalra were welcomed by the Principal ,Staff and students of the College of at the site of function . Valedictory function of NSS started with the lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest, guest of honor and executives of Kalra College of Education which was followed by Saraswati Vandana song presented by B.Ed. student as well as welcome song by a group of college students.
Colourful cultural items presented on the occasion were appreciated by the chief guest, guest of honor and audience.
Neeraj Sharma NSS Program officer of the college presented the annual report that was followed by award distribution function.
First prize of state level essay writing competition was won by Sonam Sharma, Kcs women college of education where as second prize was fetched by Hamid Lone of Paradise college of Baramula (Kashmir) and the third prize was retained by Ashiq Hussain of host college. The college also honored its own students for the best performance.
Principal Gr.P.G. College, Udhampur appreciated the effort made by the college .
