| Sahitya Akademi organises prog on Ram Nath Shastri | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 1: Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi organized a programme 'Through My Window' on role-model of Dogri Movement and one of the founders of Dogri Sanstha, Padamshree Prof Ram Nath Shastri, at K.L Sehgal Hall, Jammu
On the occasion, Prof Lalit Magotra, an eminent Dogri writer and critic spoke in detail on personality of Shastri on the basis of his personal interaction with the doyen of Dogri literature.
He highlighted many distinctive qualities of Shastri's personality as a leading figure in every venture, an inspirer and above all in managing the activities, plans etc.
Prof Magotra brilliantly analysed the historical and ideological contribution of Shastri which opened new horizons not only in Dogri literature but in the filed of Dogra Culture, Art, Painting etc. He also shared with the galaxy of audience that Shastri's opinion about writing literature as a mean by which people of this land could be made feel proud of their language, culture, literature and above all being Dogra.
A healthy interaction was also held after this prolific lecture.
Earlier, Prof Veena Gupta Convener Dogri Advisory Board Sahitya Akademi welcomed the invitees and guests and gave the introduction and relevance of the programme.
Shantanu Gangopadhyay, Asstt Editor Sahitya Akedemi presented vote of thanks to the invitees', guests and dignitaries. The programme was attended by a large number of writers, intellectuals and prominent citizens etc. |
