| Badru Kulwam wins league volleyball trophy | | | early times report
anantnag, June 1: Beating Bogund Kulgam 2-0 in best of three final, Badroo Kulgam lifted the winners' trophy of the week-long `B-Division' League Series Youth Development Volleyball Tournament which was organised under Civil Action Programme by IRP 11 Bn of the Jammu and Kashmir Police at Government High School, Khanabal in Anantnag.
The winners and runners-up team was given away title trophies and other prizes by chief guest, Deputy Inspector General of Police South Kashmir Range, Vijay Kumar.
Among others present were ADDC Anantnag, Nissar Hussain Wani, Commanding Officer of 40th Bn of CRPF, Rajnesh Ahlawat as also other senior officers of J&K Police and district administration.
A big crowd turned up to witness the final of the tournament and appreciated the steps taken by J&K Police in involving the youth in constructing activities of sports. Earlier, four teams of Chaki Ashmuji, Tiger Sports Mattan, Bogund Kulgam and Badroo Kulgam qualified for the semifinals. In all, 20 teams hailing from the rural areas of South Kashmir participated in this tournament. |
