Jammu Cyclothon gets BSA Hercules as sponsor | | | early times report JAMMU, June 1: A numbers of sponsors have come forward in support to the "Call of Nature", the Jammu Cyclothon. The Jammu Cyc-lothon, being organized to promote cycling as a sport and generate an awareness regarding the protection and conservation of environment is getting momentum. This was stated by Amit Sethi, Director Board of Development for Sports in India. Addressing the media persons, Amit Sethi expressed happiness over the response of the sponsors to the event. He disclosed that a leading cycle manufacturing company of India making brand of BSA Hercules has showed great enthusiasm in supporting the cyclothon. They have agreed to provide bicycles to the winners of the cyclothon. This will definitely boost the moral of the participants. Sethi appreciated the public for showing keen interest in the event. He said that those who have not been able to get registered can participate even without registration. All the participants will be provided free T-Shirts and refreshments at various points. Arrangements for medical facilities have also been made for the participants. He urged the participants to reach the assembling point at Govt. Model School, Satwari Chowk, before 6 am on Sunday, June 3. Sethi also thanked the J&K Cycling Association for the valuable support provided to the event. The treasurer of J&K Cycling Association, Ravi Salgotra was also present at the occasion. Salgotra said that the J&K Cycling Association welcomes the initiative taken by the BDSI. |
