| Hostel inmates passed winters shivering, got blankets in summers | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Jun 1: Believe it or not the inmates at Pahari Hostel Rajouri shivered all round the chill of winters but received the blankets when temperature touched nearly 40 degree celcius in Rajouri. In a special occasion organized at Pahari Hostel, the Warden Pahari Hostel distributed blankets among the inmates who are left perplexed and amazed over the distribution of blankets in hot summers.
Some inmates on anonymity stated that they were admitted in this hostel about 6 years back when they were in 6th class, and since then they have received uniform and shoes only once or twice in their six years stay, where as Govt claims to spend lakhs of Rupees for the welfare of students of Pahari Hostel. Pertinent to mention here that about six months ago the hostel students staged protest against mismanagement of Hostel alleging that they are not getting the healthy food in hostel mess. Some inmates further alleged that some so called Pahari leaders are raising issues fit to their political survival but perhaps they are least concerned towards to the grievances of Pahari Hostel inmates.
The aggrieved students have once again appealed to Chief Minister to personally intervene in the matter to mitigate the problems being faced by the students other wise they will be left with no option but
to resort to some agitation. |
