KVM demands for flyover bridges, women ITI | | | Early Times Report Kathua, June1: Kathua Vikas Manch (KVM) held its meeting at Rainbow Playway School under the chairmanship of Prof Ram Murti Sharma, president of the Manch and discussed various demands related to overall development in the Kathua. A large number of members, office bearers and the members of Advisory Board of KVM attended the meeting. During the meeting the members reviewed the activities undertaken during 2010-11 and identified new projects. The speakers on this occasion expressed satisfaction over the sanction of Inter-State Bus Stop, construction Severage Nallah from Shaheedi Chowk to Jasrotia Clinic and the progress achieved regarding the acquisition of land at Chak Luddan for the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalaya. They, however, expressed concerns over the inordinate delay in giving practical shape for establishing South Campus of Jammu University, Mahatma Gandhi Maternity and Child Care Hospital and widening of Kali Bari - Hatli Road. During the meeting members resolved unanimously to take up the issue of sanction of Women ITI, construction of flyover from Maggar Khad To Sar Khad on NH-1A, flyover from Mukerjee Chowk to DC Office, two additional bridges for connecting two Wands/parts of the city one at Dream Park and the other near Fruit Market, creation of separate hilly district comprising of Bani, Basohli and Billawar tehsils, early release of teachers list by Service Selection Board, setting up of the Parking Zones and Toilet Blocks at Shaheedi Chowk and D.C. Office, widening of Captain Sunil Choudhary Chowk, and setting up of a park near Kali Bari on priority basis by mobilizing public support. Prominent among those who were present in the meeting included Pitamber Dutt Sharma (Gen. Secy.), Dr Kuldeep Mahotra, Daya Nand Sharma(spokes person), Dr Prem Kumar Sharma, Dr J S Jasrotia, Bashir Ahmed Malik, Mulkh Raj Sharma, Sat Paul Gupta and others. |
