| Huge cache of arms recovered from militant hideout in Ramban | | | Early Times Report
Banihal, Jun 1 : In a joint operation, security forces and police today busted a militant hideout in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition. Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles and police launched a search operation in Kharawa Nala area and unearthed the ammunition, suspected to have been concealed by recently slain Hizbul Mujahideen commander Ghulam Qadir, police said. The recoveries include one Pika gun, one AK-56 rifle, 309 rounds of AK ammunition, 18 rounds of Pika ammunition, four Pika belts, six AK magazines and one radio set. Searches are still on in the area, police added. |
