| PDP youth wing holds protest against police atrocities | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 1: Activists of youth wing of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Rajinder Singh Manhas staged a protest demonstration at Paloure Chowk against police high-handedness. PDP youth wing activists also blocked traffic on the road. The lifted the dharna from the road when senior police officers reached the spot and assured to take against the cops who have committed atrocities on a PDP activist.
Cops are Chinore police post picked up PDP youth wing activist Dharminder Singh without any reason.
The party activist was kept in custody for whole night. This morning when PDP workers got information about such atrocities of the cops they resorted to protest. PDP workers disrupted the traffic for more than two hours. They alleged that cops were unnecessarily harassing PDP workers because large number of youth are joining PDP. They said that cops were working on the directions of the ruling party to harass PDP workers. Rajinder Singh Manhas, Varinder Singh, Balbir Singh, Man Singh and others also addressed the agitating workers. |
