| Cong hails clearance of Doda-Dessa-Capran road project | | | Early Times Report
DODA, June 1: Congress today has hailed and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for accord of approval to crucial road project linking Sudh Mahadev with Doda, Dessa and Capran in Kashmir valley.
In a meeting held at Congress Party Office in Doda, senior workers of District Congress Committee Doda appreciated sincere efforts being put in by MLA Doda, Abdul Majid Wani for conceiving and projecting a number of such major projects for people of Doda which have really brought Doda constituency on a trail of sustainable growth and development.
MLA Doda had projected this demand before UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, a number of times, on her visit to Doda and the state. MLA Doda had also communicated the important issue with the Prime Minister and Central Surface Transport Minister on a number of occasions.
The Central Surface Transport Minister C P Joshi and Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad also took keen interest in meeting this long pending demand of people from Doda region. The central leadership has honoured the aspirations of people of Doda region by clearing this important national highway project, the Congress leaders said. |
