| NPP demands 24 hrs news channel for Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 1 : National Party (NP) demanded to establish Jammu Channel, A 24 hours National channel in the name of Raja Jamboo Lochan,the founder of Jammu, to promote our culture and heritage, on the same pattern of Kashir Channel. In a press Dr. Randeep Singh Parihar said that Jammu has its own cultural identity as Dogri, Gojri, pahari, Bhaderwahi people are living there but kashir channel programs highlight only Kashmiri cultures. He alleged discrimination with the artists of the region in Kashir Channel. Rued that people of the region settled in other parts of the cio9untry and abroad are deprived of opportunity to be in touch with their culture heritage . "State Govt, should come forward for Jammu Channel and send a proposal to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for that purpose" he demanded. Dr. Randeep Singh Parihar further demanded that yearly Budget allocation for Jammu Door Darshan should be made equal to Srinagar Doordarshan Kendra. Yoginder Zutshi, Rahil Chouhan, Sannjay Gupta, Sanjay Bhan, Karan Singh Lengh also presented in the Press Conference. |
