BJP infighting in centre may cast shadow on party unit in J&K | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jun 2 : The factional feud in the BJP at the national level may delay the exercise being carried out for ending dissensions in the party unit in Jammu and Kashmir. Party sources in Jammu said that a united BJP leadership at the national level had caused embarrassment to the dissidents who had been suspended from the BJP on charge of having allegedly indulged in cross voting during the legislative council elections over 13 months ago. These dissidents were trying hard to mount pressure on the party high command by way of engineering defections in the state unit of the BJP at the grass root level so that they were readmitted in the party and now the rebel group will try to wean away many patymen from the organisation. Inside reports said that he problem of infighting in the BJP at the national level may have its direct impact on the party in Jammu and Kashmir where it has lost its shine and strength for fighting against the Kashmir centric orrganisations, the National Conference and the PDP,besides the state unit of the Congress. According to these reports after the problem of factional fights between the loyalists, headed by Saif-ud-Din Soz,and the dissidents, led by Ghulam Nabi Azad, assumed new dimensions the Congress has lost all the nerves for emerging number one political organisation in the state the PDP has succeeded in gaining the ground that it had lost because of its opposition to the diversion of land to the Amarnath shrine Board in 2008. Reports said that the PDP has been able to expand its bases and areas of influence in the Jammu region on the ruins of the Congress and the BJP.
