| Go beyond parks, entertainment Corporate Social responsibility | | | early times report
Srinagar, Jun 2: JK Bank is a part and parcel of JK's history, culture and economy. It is an asset of the people, by the people and for the people of JK. Committed to play a pivotal role in the economic empowerment of the people and overall economic prosperity of the state, JK Bank continues to contribute towards development of the state of JK and welfare of its people.
The initiative to develop and maintain parks, which forms an important segment of our Corporate Social responsibility, is aimed at providing means of entertainment to the people of the state.
This was stated by Mushtaq Ahmad, Chairman & CEO, JK Bank in his address to a large gathering of people soon after he dedicated Rani Bagh, the picturesque park developed and maintained by J&K Bank, to the people of Anantnag today.
The people of the state, for the information of the chairman do not need entertainment. Entertainment is synonymous with peace. In a conflict zone, the corporate social responsibility must go beyond maintaining parks and entertainment.
When the CEO says that the bank is an asset of the people, for the people by the people, he raises expectations that cannot be fulfilled by raising hollow slogans or installing a fountain in a park. The area of corporate social responsibility needs to be widened.
