Jammu, Jun 2: Divided bitterly, the senior leadership of the Pradesh Congress seems to have successfully transferred the legacy of factionalism to its generation next as the newly elected office bearers of the Pradesh youth Congress have given ample indications that they are determined to carry forward the legacy of internal rivalry and infighting within the party unit.
If the congratulatory advertisements issued by the newly elected office bearers are any indication, the president and the vice president of the PYC enjoy blessings and patronage of Azad Camp and the Soz camp respectively.
In the advertisement issued to congratulate the president PYC president Shahnawaz Choudhary, the pictures of Ghulam Nabi Azad and his loyalist in the state unit who managed to walk into the Legislative Council recently, Jugal kishore Sharma are carried generously, while that of PCC president Saifudin Soz is conspicuously missing.
On the other hand, in the advertisement issued to congratulate Pranav Shagotra, while picture of Soz has been carried prominently, that of Azad has been missing. Separate victory rallies taken out by these recently elected office bearers are also indicative that the factionalism has trickled down effectively. |
