Close associate of key accused detained by Kishtwar Police | Laila Khan's Outlander | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Jun 2: Five days after the recovery of fashionable Outlander of the missing Bollywood actress, Laila Khan, from Om Mehta road in Kishtwar, Police today detained close associate of main accused Parvaiz Iqbal Tak, who had allegedly dumped the vehicle inside a rented shop. The operation was conducted on the information gathered by CID. According to authoritative sources, Kishtwar police detained Shakir Hussain of Bhunzwah, who is said to be the close associate of Parvaiz Iqbal Tak. Sources said that Shakir was accompanied by Pervaiz when he gave the slip to police earlier this week. Sources said that there was no FIR in police station Kishtwar regarding the missing actress and her vehicle. Therefore, Kishtwar police was not in a position to declare the arrest of Shakir Hussain. Kishtwar police wass believed to be waiting for ATS Mumbai and Nasik police who were presently investigating the case of mysterious disappearance of the Pakistani origin Bollywood actress Laila Khan and her family. Sources said that though the teams of ATS Mumbai and Nasik police were expected to arrive in Kishtwar on Friday but due to delay in providing the automobile engineer by Mitsubishi company, brand owner of Outlander vehicle, they failed to keep their schedule. "The seized vehicle is fully computerized and only a trained engineer from the company could be helpful for opening the vehicle" a Police sources said. He said that once the company provided the engineer, the ATS Mumbai team would reach Kishtwar for further investigation. Meanwhile Jammu and Kashmir Police continued hunt to trace the absconder Parvaiz Iqbal Tak, wanted in a number of fraud and forgery matters in Kishtwar. He was also reportedly wanted in some criminal cases filed in Hoshiarpur. |
