JKDF appeals India-Pak to resolve Kashmir issue | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum (JKDF) today asked both India and Pakistan to take concrete measure to resolve the Kashmir issue to end what it called human tragedies in the state. "Time has come to make a much-needed breakthrough on this most crucial issue". Democratic Forum Chief Pandit Bhushan Bazaz while participating in a seminar and discussion on the Kashmir entitled "Towards a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue" told the gathering at Jaipur today. He said that the situation is continuously changing across the sub-continent and it has been creating its own impact on the complex issue of Kashmir. With both countries committed to resolving the Kashmir problem, there was need to make a tangible movement forward leading to visible impact on the ground situation," Bazaz said. He said a people in the state has suffered immensely due to ongoing militancy for last 22 years and this should end now. Pandit Bazaz suggested to the mainstream politicians that they should come forward and work honestly for the betterment of the Kashmiri masses if they want that the Kashmiris should prosper in every respect, then they should not create "confusion" in the minds of people just for their political survival. He alleged that some forces in India and Pakistan have developed a vested interest into the non-resolution of Kashmir issued and subsequent violence." They do not want that the issue should be solved and violence stopped as their livelihood depends on the bloodshed," the JKDF Chief added. |
