| Environmental awareness programme organized at Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, June 3: Under Paryawarn Mitra programme, Cluster Drubeel of Education Zone, Inderwal of Chatroo tehsil of Kishtwar district organised environmental awareness programmes at Middle School Kwath, Girls Middle School Dikri and Middle School Rehalthal.
The aim and objective of organizing such programme is to create awareness among the people living in far flung and hilly areas particularly student community about the importance of forest for existence of human beings. The theme of the programme was "Forest as sustainable livelihood". The program begins with the rallies in the respective local habitations near the schools.
After the rallies debate, symposium and painting was held at GMS Dekri in which nearly 300 students participated beside a huge number of local people of the area.
The programme was successfully conducted under the supervision of Abdul Rashid Headmaster, M S Kwath, Chander Parkash, Headmaster GMS Dekri and Roshan Lal Sharma, Headmaster MS Rahalthal. Prizes were also distributed among the student’s by local Sarpanch who hailed the efforts of school administration for organizing such a programme in far flung and educationally backward area of Drubeel. |
