| Dhoni visits HQ Northern Command | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, June 3: Lt Col (Hony) MS Dhoni, who was inducted as an honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the elite Parachute Regiment of the Territorial Army in 2011, visited Headquarters Northern Command today. He "called on" Lt Gen KT Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, GOC-in-C Northern Command. Later, Lt Col (Hony) MS Dhoni, the "heart throb" of millions, was thronged by the students of the Army Public School who look up to him as their role model. The children were keen to get a glimpse and an autograph of the Team India and Chennai Super Kings captain. MS Dhoni in his usual "Mr Cool" attitude, calmly and patiently signed the autographs and interacted with the students.
As part of his itinerary of visiting J&K State, Lt Col (Hony) MS Dhoni left for Srinagar to visit the forward areas in the Kashmir Valley. Later, he will also be visiting Leh and the base camp at Siachen, the world's highest battlefield and interacting with the troops deployed there. |
