RR imparts training to youth | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 3: In its endeavour to channelise the abilities of youth in a constructive manner army's Rashtriya Rifles has conducted an on the job training workshop at Manjakote. An electrician workshop for twelve unemployed youth hailing from village Manjakote, Chandiyal, Rajdhani, Kopra, Kalaban and Sangiot was conducted by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Romeo Force at Manjakote. The aim of the training was to educate the youth about basic electrical skills and techniques used in house fittings and technical training on the electrical appliances which are in use, so that they can gainfully utilize learnt skills to enhance their opportunities for self employment. Sakhi Waleit, said that these kind of vocational cadres give opportunities to young section of society to set up their own small business, and help them earn their livelihood leading to better financial status of the individuals and growth of society. Mohd Iftaq, one of the participants thanking the local army authorities, said that this is an excellent opportunity for all of us to use these skills to supplement our income. People lauded the efforts of Rashtriya Rifles unit in enabling and empowering the local youth through this training programme. |
