| JKCA Blue to face JKCA Red in U-14 final | | | early times report
jammu, June 3: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) Red shall take on JKCA Blue in the final of the under14 cricket tournament scheduled to be played on June six at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here. Earlier, in the second semifinal, played today, JKCA Blue trounced JK Public School (JKPS) by 66 runs. Batting first, after JKPS won the toss and opted to field, JKCA Blue set a target of 174 runs for the loss of four wickets in given 30 overs.
Sanchit Dass played fine innings of 57 runs while Prince and Nikhil Garoo contributed 38 and 32 runs respectively. From JKPS, Arjun Dass was most successful bowler with three wickets while Altamesh bagged one wicket. In reply, JKPS bowled out for 108 runs in 22.4 overs thereby lost the match by 66 runs. Altamash remained top scorer with 24 runs. Sahajdeep Singh, Sahil Pal and Jasif Hussain added 18, 17 and 16 runs respectively. From JKCA Blue, Satvik Kohli bowled match winning spell taking away five wickets for just seven runs in 4.4 overs he bowled. Ashish secured one wicket for 15 runs in five overs. Today's semifinal was officiated by Sandeep Singh and Paras Sharma as umpires while Sanjeev was scorer. |
