Teachers to protest against alleged bunglings, loot of govt funds in edu deptt in Rajouri | | | early times report JAMMU, Jun 3: Various organisations of teachers have decided to hold a protest against the alleged bunglings and loot of government exchequer in education department in Rajouri. The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of teachers' organisations held at Rajouri today. The protest was likely to be held in a week, or so. An appeal was made to the chief minister to personally intervene in the matter and constitute a committee of non-local officers to probe into the alleged bunglings committed in education department, Rajouri. Mohammad Amin Mir, district president of provincial teachers association, Shahbaz Khan, chairman of employees front, Sajad Mirza, president of united sports association, Manzoor Khan and Aftab Tantray, president and general secretary of ReT teachers association, and Bashir Khan, vice-chairman of employees front, were among those who emphasised the need for constituting a committee to probe into the alleged misappropriation of funds under RMSA, SSA, Mid Day Meal, medical reimbursement and purchase of infrastructure for the offices of CEO and ZEO, including computers and xerox machines, and purchase of desks and other things for schools. They also appealed to the authorities concerned to direct CEO, Rajouri, to follow the norms in ordering transfers of teachers. They alleged that many teachers had been transferred in Rajouri in violation of the set norms. The leaders also appealed to the chief information commissioner to intervene as education authorities in Rajour were also not allegedly providing information under RTI. |
