| Anan elected new president of JKPDA | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jun 3: The elections of J&K Petroleum Dealers Association (JKPDA) were held through secret ballot at Hotel Asia here today.
As many as four candidates were in fray for the post of president.
Anan Sharma was declared elected as president with 67 votes in his kitty while Captain Mohan Singh secured only 7 votes.
Gen B N Dhar was the election officer under whose supervision the elections were held successfully.
Eighty dealers of all three Oil Companies participated in the process of elections.
It was for first time that the elections were held through secret ballot.
After winning the elections, the new team was unanimously selected by the new president Anan Sharma.
Rahul Gupta and Rakesh Mahajan were appointed as general secretaries while Sanjay Mahajan, Daljit Singh Khorana and D K Batra were given responsibilities of senior vice presidents.
Vijay Saraf, Harpal Singh and Arun Suri were selected as vice presidents whereas Jai Sharma, Deepak Chugh and Amit Dutt were made secretaries. Parshotam Gupta and Kulbushan Sharma will be the new secretaries Finance while Neetu Singh will be the joint secretary finance.
Twenty one executive members from all the three Oil companies were also nominated. |
