| NCURDS to organise prog on Transit of Venus | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jun 3: National Council for Urban & Rural Development Society (NCURDS), an NGO engaged in awareness and imparting knowledge/achievements in Science & Technology in collaboration with and under sponsored programme of Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous body of Science & Technology, Govt. of India is organizing a grand programme about popularization and awareness of Transit of Venus on June 6. This Transit of Venus occurs after 105½ & 121½ years alternatively. And, next time, it will be occurring after 105½ years i.e. in 2117, which is quite interesting. In order to inculcate the knowledge about the Transit of Venus amongst the young generation and to provide knowledge about Astronomy, NCURDS is organizing a grand programme to witness with an open eye the Transit of Venus. NCURDS is inviting all the young youths/and all interested persons to come on June 6 in between 5:00 A.M. to 10:20 A.M. at Bahu Fort Parking, Near Shahi Masjid, Bahu Fort, Jammu where Solar Filters will be provided to the viewers to witness the Transit of Venus |
