| Multilingual mushaira held at Saigal Hall | | | EArLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jun 4: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Language organized a multilingual mushaira at K L Saigal Hall, Jammu.
The programme was presided over by Nirmal Vinod a renowned Hindi Poet, whereas T R Sharma Retd KAS Officer attended the occasion as guest of honour.
Earlier, mushaira started with welcome address from Savita Bakshi Additional Secretary, Jammu who said that mushaira is aimed to introduce new talent along with matured writers so that a good exposure be given to the young writers in Dogri, Hindi and Punjabi Languages.
T R Magotra, Satpal Sharma, Shambhu Ram Pyasa, Dimple Sharma, Sunil Sharma and Rashpal Chonotra, recited their works in Dogri Lanuage while Ashotosh, Arvind Sharma, Kamaljeet Choudhary, M.S. Kamra and Rajinder Kumar in Hindi Language and Kamini Matoo recited their poems in Punjabi language. S. Taran Singh, Mahinder Mohi, Harbajan Singh, and S. Balwinder Singh shared the dais as a panel.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Brij Mohan Editor Dogri (wing) whereas the vote of thanks was given by Dr Rattan Lal Basotra Assistant Editor Dogri (wing). |
