| Protests against SMHS hospital | | | EArLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Jun 4: Protesting alleged negligence by doctors, bereaved relatives and neighbours of a young man who died at the SMHS Hospital on Monday raised slogans against the hospital and ransacked furniture and stationary at the premier hospital here.
According to family sources, a young man from down town Srinagar was admitted last night at the hospital after he had complained of chest pain. However, the relatives of the 41 year old man Riyaz Ahmad, after being shifted to the Intensive Care Unit of the SMHS hospital, there were no doctors to attend to the patient. They also alleged that a nurse kept taking instructions from a doctor on phone, however, later the doctor switched the phone off.
The patient died in the morning after spending the whole night at the hospital. |
