CITU condemns rigid attitude of Lieghton management | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, Jun 4: Javed Ahmed. Zargar, General Secretary of Chenab Hydropower Projects Workers union and acting president of CTTU, has condemned the highha-ndedness and rigid attitude of the Management of LIEGHTON , working on the Chenani National highway tunnels, towards the genuine demands of the workers. The management has illegally and arbitrarily terminated the services of two local workers, without following any rules and regulations. These foreign companies are operating in the state by bypassing all rules/norms of Indian constitution. We appeal to all responsible officers of the District administration and the labour department to prevail upon these companies to follow the law of the land in their projects to stop their dictatorship, in hiring and firing of the workers. In the interest of the smooth functioning of the projects we appeal to all concerned to immediately reinstate the illegally terminated workers, otherwise the union shall be compelled to stop work on all the ongoing--projects, of Baglihar Project, Sangaldan and also on Sawalakote projects, in order to get justice for the aggrieved workers. |
