JAMMU, Jun 4: Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha held a meeting led by its senior members K K Proch (Retd Distt & Session Judge) , Prithvi Raj Sharma (Retd SP) and other prominent members of the Sabha.K K Proch who is also committee member taking serious note over media reports that different sections of the Brahmin samaj are raising finger on the unconstitutional working of Brahmin Sabha. Clarifying the reports, Proach pointed out that former president had not constituted any executive or working committee during his tenure of three years and also taken two extensions without approval by working committee. Proch said that the committee formed by former president was rejected by different sections of the Brahmin samaj as a result the president called a meeting of all prominent members of the Brahmin samaj on 15th January and members decided to form two members' committee which suggested the means for holding fair and transparent elections. Members also appealed to all the sections of Brahmin samaj to come together on a single platform to save the sabha and end the unconstitutional period and also hold fresh election under 11 members election working committee which will be formed very soon. |
