| Impressive shobha yatra taken out on Saint Kabir Jayanti | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU,June 4: All J&K Sadh Guru Kabir Sabha today celebrated Prakash Utsav to commemorate Kabir Jyanti and an impressive shobha yatra was taken out in the city on this auspicious occasion.
The Shobha Yatra procession comprising various tableaux related to the legends associated with Saint Kabir. And devotees and followers from all over the Jammu province participated in the Shobha Yatra which started from Satwari Chowk amidst chanting of slogans of Jai Kabir Dhan Kabir.
Religious enthusiasm was apparent in the Sangat and devotees towards great spiritual master Sadh Guru Kabir Sahib who braved the hot day and participated in yatra with great to devotion.
Amongst prominent who participated in the Shobha Yatra included Mula Ram, Ex-Minister (Chairman of Kabir Sabha) F C Bhagat President of the Sabha accompanied by J L Bhagat (Ex. President), G.R.Bhagat (Sr Vice President) Prof G R Bhagat MLA, R S Pura, KC Bhagat MLA Chenani, Vice President, Prof Ashok Bhagat, Col Swarn Singh, Dr Karnail Singh DIG-BSF and Distt Presidents Pardeep Kumar, Babu Ram, Dev Raj, Jagdish Raj Aryan, Sat Paul, Jai Ram, Madan Lal (Gen Secy), Gurbachan Bhagat (Cashier), Babu Ram (Cashier), Subash Chander (Distt. Joint Secy), Ravinder Kumar (Secretary) and block presidents of Sabha.
After the offering prayers at Kabir Temple, the religious discourses/Satsang was delivered by Dina Nath Ji, Disciple of late Chandi Ram Ji (Punjabwalle) and Basakhi Ram of Kotli Shah Doula.
Speaking on the occasion the president of Sabha moved a resolution demanding Kabir Jayanti as Gazette Holiday on Kabir Jayanti, the resolution was approved by huge congregation present on the occasion. |
